ZebIslamic Unisex Arabic name meaning

Ibn Hajar al-Haytami mentions a scholar named Zeb ibn Moosa al-Asadi in his 'al-Fatawa al-Hadithiyya'. He was a famous Hanafi jurist and theologian who lived during the 14th century. Zeb was born in Iraq and was a student of Shahab al-Din al-Suyuti. He wrote several books on fiqh and tafsir, and his most famous work is 'Bughyat al-Mustarshidin' which is a commentary on the 'Masabih' of Ibn Abi Zayd al-Qayrawani.

He was a Sahabi (companion) of the Prophet and lived during the 7th century in Medina. He was known for his bravery in battle and was a close companion of Sa'd ibn Muadh, who was the commander of the Muslim army during the Battle of the Trench. Zeb participated in several battles and was a trusted advisor to Sa'd ibn Muadh.
