Yasna

The name Yasna, although of Iranian origin and meaning in the Avestan language, has gained significance within the Islamic culture due to its Quranic associations. In the Noble Quran, Surah Al-Wafter (54:17) refers to the story of Prophet Ibrahim (A.S.), where people used to call upon his name stating, "and call upon us, and feed; verify, verily, the reward for this is with your Rabb, and we will ask, 'What did they want?'" Thus, Yasna can be understood as a call to remember Allah, to seek His pleasure and to look towards Him for help in times of need.
