Ibn Kathir's Al-Bidayah wa'l-Nihayah, vol. 11, p. 117-118. Raumaan ibn Zayd was a prominent companion of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) who was known for his generosity and piety. He was one of the ten companions given the title 'As-Sahabah ar-Raqiqoon' (the Constant Companions) due to their uninterrupted company with the Prophet (PBUH). Raumaan was also known as 'Abu Hurairah Al-Ansari', and was a native of Damascus.
