Khisb

The practice of distributing Khisb during Ramadan is deeply rooted in the Islamic culture and tradition. It is an expression of the communal spirit of the month and a symbol of solidarity with the less fortunate members of society. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is reported to have said, "Whoever gives food to a fasting person to break his fast, Allah will save him from the Fire." (Sahih Muslim).
