Ibn Kathir's Al-Bidayah wa Al-Nihayah: Kaarim ibn Abdullah Al-Aqeel was a famous companion of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and one of the ten promised Paradise. He was known for his generosity and piety. Kaarim was among the earliest converts to Islam and participated in many battles. He was also a close friend and confidant of Ali ibn Abi Talib (ra) and was present during the Battle of Siffin.

Al-Tabari's Tarikh Al-Rusul Wa Al-Muluk: Kaarim ibn Masruq was a companion of the fourth Caliph, Ali ibn Abi Talib (ra) and was known for his piety and kindness. He was one of the few companions who remained loyal to Ali during the civil war following the death of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Kaarim was martyred during the Battle of Nahrawan in 658 AD while defending Ali against the forces of Muawiya ibn Abu Sufyan.
