Qari

Qari is a title given to someone who has mastered the art of reciting the Quran with proper pronunciation and intonation. It signifies a person with a deep understanding of Islamic scripture.

As mentioned in the Quran, 'Those to whom We have given the Book recite it with its true recital' (Surah Baqarah, 2:121), a Qari is considered to be a guardian of the Quranic message.
