Farooq

In Arabic, Farooq means 'distant' or 'a stranger'. It is also a reference to the title given to the leader of the Muhajirun, who were the early Islamic migrants to Medina. The title Farooq was given to him due to his ability to distinguish between truth and falsehood.

In Islamic tradition, Farooq is associated with the concept of justice and leadership.
