Ragu

The name Ragu is rooted in Hindu culture and is believed to be derived from the Sanskrit word 'Rasa', which means 'taste' or 'flavor'. In traditional Indian literature, the concept of Rasa refers to an aesthetic taste, similar to the modern-day term 'emotion'. Ragus are melodic patterns in Hindustani classical music that evoke specific emotions or feelings. Similarly, in ancient Indian literature like the Natyashastra, Rasas are the nine primary emotions portrayed in art and drama.

In the spiritual context, the name Ragu carries the symbolism of experiencing the divine 'Rasa', or the nectar of devotion.
