Prdip was a ruler of the Suryavanshi dynasty, a branch of the Solar dynasty, in ancient India. He ruled during the late 6th century BCE and is best known for his victory over the Yavana (Greek) king Pururavas, which allowed the Indian subcontinent to be free from foreign invasions for several centuries.

Prdip was a Jain Tirthankara, meaning a spiritual teacher or savior, who lived during the 8th century BCE. He is considered the 11th of the 24 Tirthankaras and is believed to have taught the Jain doctrine of non-violence and detachment from worldly attachments.
