In Hindu mythology, Pandu was the eldest of the two sons of King Vyas and Queen Madri. He was a just and powerful king who was cursed to die if he saw his wife. Despite this, he led an army to war and was killed when he saw his wife in disguise. Before dying, he asked his brother Vidura to take care of his sons, Yudhishthira and Bhima.
