In Hindu mythology, the god Vishnu is believed to have descended to Earth in various avatars to save humanity from impending doom. One such avatar is 'Lord Matsya', who is depicted as a giant fish. According to the legend, during the final days of the 'Treta Yuga', a great deluge was about to engulf the Earth. To save the sacred scriptures and all living beings, Lord Matsya appeared as a massive fish and instructed Manu, the progenitor of mankind, to build a boat and load it with seeds of all plants, grains, and animals to ensure the survival of life. Manu followed the divine instructions, and when the floods arrived, Lord Matsya carried the boat on his back and guided it to the highest mountain peak, where the waters receded. The boat eventually came to rest on what is now the Mount Meru, and Manu along with the preserved life emerged from it.

Another reference to the name 'Live' in Hinduism is found in the 'Upanishads', specifically in the 'Chandogya Upanishad'. Here, the concept of 'Brahman' or the ultimate reality is described as 'Prana', the vital energy or life force. In this context, the term 'Live' could be interpreted as 'Prana' or 'Life Force' itself. In the 'Chandogya Upanishad', it is said that the 'Brahman' is the innermost self of all beings and the source of all life. The 'Yajur Veda' also supports this idea, stating that 'Life is Brahman'. These references emphasize the significance of life and the connection between the individual self and the universal consciousness, the 'Brahman'.
