Grethika, in Hindu mythology, was a beautiful demoness who was the elder sister of the demon king Alaka. She was in love with Rama, an incarnation of Vishnu. When Rama rejected her advances, she attempted to kill him, but was ultimately defeated and banished from Lanka.
