Ganapat

The Hindu deity Ganapat, also known as Ganesha, is widely revered for his role as the remover of obstacles and the god of wisdom, knowledge, and education. He is often depicted riding a mouse or rat motor vehicle, carrying a conch shell and a goad, and holding a sweet modaka in his other hand. Ganesh Chaturthi, a major Hindu festival celebrating the birth of Lord Ganesha, is observed with great enthusiasm and grandeur in various parts of India. People prepare delicious food, decorate their homes, and immerse idols of Ganesha in water bodies to seek his blessings.

In Hinduism, Lord Ganesha is considered the elder son of Shiva and Parvati and the god of wisdom and knowledge. He is also the deity of obstacles and removes the obstacles from the path of devotees seeking spiritual growth and enlightenment. Moreover, Ganesha is the guardian of the Vedas and the god of letters and speech. Hence, invoking the name of Lord Ganesha before starting any new venture or religious practice is part of Hindu traditions. Additionally, chanting the Ganesh mantra, "Om Gan Ganapataye Namah," is believed to bring prosperity, wisdom, and blessings.
