Darika is a demon king mentioned in Hindu mythology, who was the younger brother of Hiranyakasipu and the father of the demon Nahusha. Darika was a devoted asura, and when his brother Hiranyakasipu was cursed by Narada for his pride and arrogance, Darika sought to appease the sage by inviting him to their palace. However, Hiranyakasipu mistook Narada for Vishnu in disguise and attacked him, leading to his own death. Darika and his followers were later defeated by Lord Vishnu in the form of Krishna.
