Chidaatma is said to have appeared before him and forgave him for his mistake, asking him to build a temple in his name.

Another legend associated with Chidaatma is that of the Rajput king Rao Jaswant Singh of Jodhpur. It is believed that during a battle, Rao Jaswant Singh's army was losing ground against the enemy. In desperation, the king called upon Chidaatma for help. The deity is said to have appeared before the army, instilling courage and strength in the soldiers, leading to a victory for Jodhpur.
