Aanandhi, also known as Anandamayi Ma or 'Blissful Mother', was a prominent Hindu spiritual figure in the early 20th century. She was born in Bengal, India, around 1896 and spent much of her life traveling throughout India and Bangladesh, spreading her message of spiritual enlightenment. She was known for her ability to enter deep states of spiritual ecstasy and her selfless devotion to helping others find spiritual peace.

Aanandi, also known as Andal, was a renowned Tamil poetess and saint in the 9th century who lived in the Alvar tradition, a group of twelve poet-saints in medieval India. Andal is considered one of the most important figures in the theology of Vaishnavism, a Hindu tradition that reveres Vishnu and his avatars. Her poems, known as 'nagaratvaram', are deeply emotional and expressive, and are still widely read and recited in Tamil Nadu, India.
