Dorothea

In Greek mythology, Dorothea means 'gift of God' or 'gifted one'. In Christianity, Saint Dorothea is the patron saint of gardeners and martyrs. She is said to have hidden in a garden when persecuted for her faith, and was eventually discovered and beheaded.
