Cecelia

From the Latin cælea, meaning ‘blind’ or ‘hidden.’ In Christian tradition, the name Cecelia is associated with Saint Cecelia, a third-century martyr. According to legend, she was a wealthy Roman noblewoman who was secretly a Christian and was discovered when she sang to God in her garden. She was persecuted for her faith and endured multiple attempts on her life, but miraculously survived each one. Eventually, she was beheaded, but her body was found to be unharmed three days later. Her feast day is celebrated on November 22.
