Xenophila is also known as Xenophia of Thessalonica, and her life is recorded in the Acts of the Martyrs. She is believed to have lived during the early Christian period, and was a wealthy woman who used her wealth to support the Christian community in Thessalonica, Greece. When the city was sacked by the Heruli in 267 AD, Xenophila was taken captive and offered to be released if she would renounce her faith. She refused and was tortured and ultimately beheaded.
